Abstract
In order to promote the development and utilization of Meliosma kirkii Hemsl. et Wlils.in the prevention and treatment alcoholic liver injury. The research was carried out on the antialcoholic decoction of folk midicine. The acute toxicity test was used to determine its safety, observed the behavior of drunken mice, measured the changes of blood alcohol content, established the model of drunken mice, and detected the levels of alanine aminotransferase(ALT), aspartate aminotransferase(AST), superoxide dismutase(SOD), glutathione(GSH) and propylene glycol(MDA) to evaluate liver damage, the body weight was also recorded. The results showed that there was no death occurred in each group with 30-35 mL·kg-1 dosage of the decoction of Meliosma kirkii, and indicating that the water decoction of Meliosma kirkii was safe at the experimental dose. The optimal intoxicating dose of 56° Baijiu for mice was 16 mL·kg-1. Compared with the model control group, the time of intoxication in different dosage groups of Meliosma kirkii was significantly prolonged, and the recovery time of high-dose and medium-dose groups decreased. Two hours after administration, the serum ethanol concentration and serum ALT and AST levels of mice were significantly decreased, while the activities of GSH and SOD in the liver homogenate of mice were significantly increased in in the high-dose and medium-dose groups. These results indicated that the decoction was safety, and the high and medium dose groups had a good effect on relieving alcohol and protecting liver.
