Abstract: As an excellent local breed in the Northeast area of China, Min pigs is characterized by high muscle fat content, bright red meat, uniform marble pattern, delicate and juicy taste, and delicious meat. In order to make full use of the breed advantage of Min pigs, to protect and exploit Min pigs, the author described the germplasm characteristics of boars from aspects of breed characteristics, production performance, meat quality and adaptability.
