Abstract:
To explore the expression of key enzymes of taurine biosynthesis and their transporter in liver and endocrine glands of Landrace,120-day-old Landrace were randomly selected for the experiment, males and females were equal numbers. Their liver, hypothalamus, pituitary, ovary, testis, thyroid gland and adrenal gland were collected. The mRNA and protein expression of cysteine sulfinate decarboxylase(CSD), cysteine dioxygenase(CDO) and tavrine transporter(TAUT) genes were detected by RT-PCR, qRT-PCR and Western-blot. The results showed that CSD, CDO and TAUT mRNA in liver and endocrine gland and adrenal gland of Landrace were detected. The expression levels of CSD mRNA in the tissues from high to low were thyroid gland, pituitary, liver, ovary, hypothalamus, adrenal gland and testis. The CDO mRNA expression levels in the tissues were testis>ovary>thyroid gland>liver>pituitary>hypothalamus>adrenal gland. The TAUT mRNA expression levels in the tissues were pituitary>liver>ovary>hypothalamus>thyroid gland>adrenal gland > testis. The CSD, CDO and TAUT proteins were expressed in liver and endocrine glands of Landrace. The results indicated that taurine could be synthesized in liver, hypothalamus, pituitary, ovary, testis, thyroid and adrenal gland of Landrace, and taurine might play an important role in these tissues.
