Abstract:
An 8-month-old male golden retriever developed the symptoms of intermittent vomiting, polydipsia and polyuria, hematuria, appetite loss and weight loss one week before treatment. In order to diagnose and treat the case, clinical examination, laboratory examination and imaging examination were carried out for the diagnosis, and the treatment were followed according to the diagnosis results. The results showed that the case was diagnosed as portosystemic shunts. Use the Ameroid gradually constriction ring surgery for the treatment. The recovery after surgery was good. The results suggested that the confirmation of portosystemic shunts can be made according to comprehensive analysis via the clinical symptoms, laboratory and imaging examination results. The treatment of Ameroid gradually shrinking ring surgery had a good effect.
