Abstract:
In July 2019,an adult Dutch horse from an equestrian club in Chengdu was transported from the Netherlands to Chengdu 5 days later and developed fever, hoof planing, rolling, panting and other symptoms. In order to accurately diagnose this case, the author combined clinical examination and lung B-mode ultrasound to confirm that the case was equine intestinal obstruction complicated with pleuropneumonia caused by transportation. Drug treatment was taken in time, and the treatment effect was remarkable. The results suggested that the use of B-mode ultrasound can make of these diseases diagnosis of these diseases more quickly and accurately. The two common diseases of horse intestinal obstruction and pleuropneumonia caused by transportation should be prevented in time, accurately diagnosed, and treated reasonably.
