Abstract:
In order to identify the pathogen of the dead geese from 9 farms submitted for inspection in Chuzhou, Anhui Province since 2018,the experiment collected liver tissues of sick and dead geese for isolation and culture of pathogenic bacteria and Gram staining microscopy; the isolates were identified by PCR with 16 S rRNA gene, biochemical tests and drug susceptibility tests were performed on the isolates, and the drug resistance genes and virulence genes of the isolates were amplified by PCR. The results showed that 9 strains of gram-negative, single-existing, medium-sized bacilli were isolated from the livers of sick and dead geese. The results of homology analysis showed that the 9 isolates were all Escherichia coli(E.coli). 7,9,8,9,9 isolates carried fimC,hlyF,iucD,OmpA,and iss genes, respectively. The β-lactamase resistance gene blatem-1 was detected in 9 isolates; the kanamycin resistance gene aadA1 was detected in 8 isolates; the sulfa resistant gene sul1 was detected in 4 isolates; the cephalosporin resistant gene blaCMY-2 was detected in 3 isolates and the quinolone resistant gene qnr was detected in one isolate. The results suggested that the sick and dead geese sent for inspection in 9 farms were all infected with pathogenic E.coli, and they all carried multiple virulence genes and multi-drug resistance genes.
