Abstract:
In January 2019,the animal hospital of Yangzhou University received a 2-year-old female Chinese Garden cat, which showed symptoms such as food reflux and poor appetite; through clinical examination, laboratory examination and imaging diagnosis, it was finally diagnosed as megaesophagus. After 3 weeks of changing eating habits and supplemented with supportive therapy, the cat recovered. The results suggested that the diagnosis of megaesophagus required the combined application of multiple examination methods; at the same time, drug treatment and changes in eating habits can effectively alleviate reflux symptoms and play a good therapeutic role.
