Abstract:
In order to study the effect of batch production technology on reproductive performance of multiparous sows and the influencing factors of its implementation. In this experiment, sows from 2 to 10 parities were divided into two groups. The experimental group received batch production management, while the control group received traditional continuous production. And the two set of sows’ gestation period, childbirth mating delivery index(estrus rate, conception rate, delivery rate, empty fetus rate and abortion rate) and reproductive performance index(total litter size and litter healthy number, litter scrawny piglet number, healthy and scrawny piglet number, litter still birth number, litter mummy number, litter weaning piglets number) were comparied, analysis of tire time and seasonal factors impact on batches of production technology was analyzed. The results showed as follows: after batch management, there were no significant differences in gestation period, empty fetus rate and abortion rate between test group and control group(P>0.05). The estrus rate, conception rate and delivery rate of test group were significantly higher than those of control group(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in total litter size, litter healthy number, litter malformation number, litter stillbirth number, litter mummy number and litter weaning piglets number between the two groups(P>0.05). The litter number of scrawny piglet in experimental group was significantly lower than that in control group(P<0.05).The total litter size of sows at 9 and 10 parities was significantly lower than that of sows at other parities(P<0.05), while the litter healthy and scrawny piglet number of sows at 9 parities was significantly lower than that of sows at other parities(P<0.05), while there was no significant difference in other indexes about parity(P>0.05).The total litter number in autumn was significantly lower than that in spring, and the litter malformation number in winter was significantly higher than that in summer and autumn(P<0.05), but there were no significant differences in other indexes(P>0.05).The results indicated that the application of batch production technology in the 2 nd to 8 th parities of sows in large-scale pig farms, and keeping the temperature and light conditions stable, could significantly improve the reproductive performance of sows and achieve the maximum productivity, and this technology is suitable for large-scale pig farms to be applied and popularized.
