Abstract:
A farmer in the Xinyang mountainous area of Henan Province raised about 230 goats; among them, about 170 goats developed abscesses under the skin around the chest, neck, shoulders, breasts, etc.,which seriously affected the growth and weight gain of the goats and caused serious economic losses to farmers. In order to understand the structure of the goat subcutaneous abscess bacterial flora of the farm and to guide the clinical rational use of drugs, the experiment used denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis(DGGE) technology to analyze the bacterial flora structure of the goat subcutaneous abscess content, and carried out bacterial isolation, identification and drug sensitivity test on the abscess content. The results showed that the structure of the bacterial flora of the abscess content under the goat skin was the same, all of which were 3 types of bacteria namely Staphylococcus sp.,Desulfovibrio sp.,and Propionibacterium sp.. The bacteria isolated and cultured from the contents of the subcutaneous abscess were identified as coagulase-negative Staphylococcus auricularis with β hemolytic loop, which was sensitive to gentamicin, ciprofloxacin, erythromycin and other antibiotics. The results suggested that Staphylococcus auricularis was one of the main pathogenic bacteria that caused abscesses under the skin of goats, and it was sensitive to a variety of antibiotics.
