Abstract:
Toxoplasma gondii is an obligate intracellular parasite that infects most endotherms, including humans. Toxoplasmosis is a zoonosis caused by Toxoplasma gondii, which not only causes great economic loss to animal husbandry, but also poses a great threat to human health. The feline family is the definitive host of Toxoplasma gondii. Cats dominate the transmission of toxoplasmosis. Therefore, the core of prevention and control of toxoplasmosis is to prevent and control toxoplasmosis in cats, and the development of vaccine for prevention and control of toxoplasmosis is of great significance. In this paper, the research progress of inactivated vaccine, nucleic acid vaccine, subunit vaccine and attenuated live vaccine of Toxoplasma gondii was reviewed, aiming to provide ideas for the research and development of Toxoplasma gondii vaccine.
