Abstract:
In order to select out ryegrass(Lolium spp.) varieties with higher production performance suitable for planting in Northern regions, the production performance(total fresh grass yield and total hay yield)and fresh-to-dry ratio of 12 ryegrass varieties(Jianbao, Abundant, Tetragold, Angus 1,shouqun, Avance, Green spirit, Bolt, Double-barrd, Hercules, Ribeye and Mgimus) were examined in the experiment. Comparative analysis and K-means cluster analysis were used to comprehensively explain the attributes of a single variety and its classification attributes, and the varieties were classified according to their differences. The results showed that Tetragold had the highest total yield of fresh grass and hay, and the fresh-to-dry ratio was in the middle among the 12 varieties, followed by Hercules and Angus 1. The 12 varieties were divided into three categories by cluster analysis. The first category included seven varieties(Jianbao, Abundant, Mqximus, Tetragold, Angus 1,Shougun and Hercules), the second category included three varieties(Ribeye, Avance and Green spirit), and the third category included Bolt and Double-barrel. Among which, the comprehensive performance of the first category was better than that of the second and third categories. In the ryegrass production in the Northern region, the first category can be selected out based on the actual situation.
