Abstract:
Fish is the most diverse vertebrate species, and its sexual reproduction has a variety of reproductive strategies, and the growth of male and female dimorphism.Fish have a complex sex-determining mechanism, which is mainly affected by genetic factors and environmental factors. The genetic factors mainly refer to the sex-determining genes on chromosomes, and environmental factors mainly include water temperature, dissolved oxygen, light, pH value, culture density and hormones. This paper reviewed the research progress on the sex dimorphism of fish growth and sex-determining genes. The research progress of AMH gene and the cascade effect between AMH gene and other sex-determining genes were reviewed in order to provide theoretical basis for one-way sex control, disease prevention and efficient breeding of aquaculture fish.
