Abstract:
Infectious virus disease is one of the important factors restricting the development of chicken breeding, which seriously affects chicken health and breeding efficiency. The application of gene editing technology in poultry breeding for disease resistance is a focused topic in current poultry breeding and epidemic preventionand control.CRISPR/Cas9(clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats/CRISPR associated protein 9) is an efficient and precise gene editing tool, which plays an important role in the research field of prevention and control of avian virus infection diseases. In this paper, CRISPR/Cas9 technology was briefly reviewed in terms of targeted knockout of chicken virus receptor genes, modification of antiviral related genes and modification of virus genome. The application prospect of this technology in the breeding of new resistant strains and the research and development of recombinant avian virus vector vaccine was prospected, which provided a reference for the basic research, prevention and treatment of avian virus diseases.
