Abstract:
The implementation of cleaner production behavior in pig breeding is of great significance to improve the pig breeding environment and the quality of pig products, and promote the sustainable development of pig breeding industry. Based on the field survey data of 9 cities(prefectures) in Jilin Province, this study analyzed the influencing factors and degree of cleaner production implementation willingness of pig farms(households) by constructing a binary Logistic regression model. The results showed that education level of the farmer and disease prevention and control cognition had significant positive impact on the willingness to implement cleaner production behavior of pig farms(households) at the 1% statistical level. At the statistical level of 5%, the proportion of pig income, pig brand, knowledge of production equipment investment, cleaner production technology training, requirements of environmental protection departments and government propaganda intensity all had significant positive influence on the implementation intention of cleaner production behavior of pig farms(households). The operation years and the frequency of disinfection of piggery had a significant negative influence on the intention of implementing cleaner production behavior in pig farms(households) at 5% statistical level. However, cognition of feed selection, cognition of veterinary drug use, behavior attitude, establishment of breeding archives, disposal methods of sick and dead pigs and manure disposal methods had no significant effect on willingness to implement cleaner production behavior of pig farms(households). In view of this, the author put forward countermeasures and suggestions to increase the investment in pig breeding funds, establish the brand awareness of enterprise leaders, broaden the publicity channels of cleaner production, and strengthen the farmers of environmental protection and quality inspection departments.
