Abstract:
In order to improve the efficiency of cow embryo transfer, three estrous synchronization schemes of progesterone vaginal sustained release agent + prostaglandin(CIDR+PG
7-10,CIDR+PG
8-10,CIDR+PG
9-10,CIDR+PG
7-8,CIDR+PG
7-9,CIDR+PG
7-10 groups), ovsync(079 B/G groups) and D-ovsync(D-079 B/G groups) were used to study the effect of estrus synchronization and transfer pregnancy rate on 196 adult cattle and 376 postpartum cattle. The effect of gonadotropin releasing hormone(GnRH) and buserelin on embryo transfer were analyzed, which were divided into CIDR+PG
7-10, 079 B/G and D-079 B/G groups according to different schemes. The results showed that the estrus time of parturient cattle in three kinds of cycle estrus programs was lagged behind that of mature cattle. The estrus concentration of adult cattle(100%) and postpartum cattle(94.45%) CIDR + PG
7-10 group was better than that of other groups, and that of adult cattle was better than that of postpartum cattle. There was no significant difference in the transplantation utilization and pregnancy rate between the adult cattle and the postpartum cattle groups(P>0.05), but the transplantation pregnancy rate(48.39% and 56.67%) of CIDR + PG
7-10 group was higher than that of other groups, and the transplantation utilization rate of the adult cattle group 079 B(93.55%) and the postpartum cattle group D-079 B(92.86%) were higher than that of other groups. The utilization rate of transplantation in 079 B group(95.83%) was significantly higher than that of CIDR + PG
7-10 group(76.00%) and 079 G group(72.00%)(P<0.05), but there was no significant difference in transplantation utilization rate and transplantation pregnancy rate among the three groups(P>0.05). There was no significant difference in transplantation utilization and pregnancy rate between 7 days after embryo flushing and random time treatment(P>0.05). These results indicated that the estrous synchronization schemes of CIDR + PG
7-10, 079 G and 079 B were applicable to embryo transfer of adult cattle, and the estrous synchronization schemes of CIDR + PG
7-10, D-079 G and D-079 B were applicable to embryo transfer of postpartum cattle. There was no significant difference between GnRH and buserelin. It was feasible to implement CIDR + PG
7-10 or D-079 embryo transfer for postpartum cows.
