Abstract:
Senecavirus A(SVA) is a microRNA virus and belongs to the Senecavirus genus of RNA virus family. SVA infection could lead to vesicular disease in sows, and the symptoms are similar to Foot-and-mouth disease virus and Swine vesicular disease virus. It should be noted that SVA could lead to acute death of newborn piglets with high mortality, which will bring significant economic losses to pig farms. The authors reviewed the etiological characteristics, infection pathogenesis, domestic prevalence, and prevention and control progress of SVA, in order to prevent and control SVA better.
