Abstract:
Improved breeding is the basis of dairy cattle breeding. Affected by the uncertainty and instability of import, dairy cattle breeding has to face the dilemma of “neck sticking” provenance. Based on the external dependence of Chinese dairy cow breeding provenance, the author defines the connotation of the problem of the provenance “neck sticking” for dairy cow breeding. Using Patsnap global patent database, the author comprehensively identified the problem and degree of the provenance “neck sticking” for dairy cow breeding, analyzed its causes, and put forward the solution to the problem. The results showed that the breeding source of Chinese dairy cattle depended heavily on imports, and there were risks of “tight neck” in breeding(milk) cattle, frozen semen and embryos. By analyzing the number of patent applications, citation times, types of application institutions and the number of patents in the same family, it was found that the causes of the “bottleneck” problem of dairy breeding provenance were the weak innovation ability of breeding technology, the imperfect integration system of industry-university-research and the low value of scientific and technological innovation. Therefore, it is suggested to solve the problem of “neck sticking” of Chinese dairy breeding provenance from three aspects: improving the innovation ability of breeding science and technology, optimizing and perfecting the technical innovation system of deep integration of production, university and research, and effectively improving the innovation value of breeding scientific and technological achievements.
