Abstract:
Artemisia argyi is a perennial herb of compositae, which is a drug homologous food medicine and food. It is warm in nature, bitter in taste and pungent in taste. It has multiple effects such as cold removal, antibacterial, antiviral and anticancer, and has strong growth adaptability. Except the extremely cold, and the extremely dry areas in China it has been widely distributed, the formation several kinds of famous Artemisia argyi headed by Beiai(produced in Anyang City, Henan Province), Qiai(produced in Anguo City, Henan Province), Haiai(produced in Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province), Qiai(produced in Qichun County, Hubei Province) and Chuanai(produced in Liangshan Prefecture, Sichuan Province). At present, Artemisia argyi is widely used in medicine, food, textile, chemical and other fields. Artemisia argyi is rich in volatile oil, flavonoids, polysaccharides active ingredients. It has significant effect in treating animal bacterial diseases and improving animal disease resistance, immunity, production capacity etc. However, the application of Artemisia argyi in animal breeding is relatively small. The author summarized the growth characteristics and distribution preference of Artemisia argyi and its application in animal breeding, aiming to provide theoretical support for the development and utilization of Artemisia argyi.
