Abstract:
RAV transcription factors belong to B3 superfamily which is a specific transcription factor family in plants. In this study, 57 RAV family members are identified in wheat(Triticum aestivum). Wheat RAV family members can be classified into two groups based on whether it contains AP2 domain. There are 26 members containing AP2 domains in RAV family. Expression profiles analysis show that 19 genes from RAV gene family up-regulated under synthetic cytokinin 6-benzyl aminopurine treatment and 25 genes down-regulated under abscisic acid treatment. Four genes down-regulated under drought and heat stresses are selected by analyzing the expression profiles of wheat RAV family genes treated by abiotic stresses, and the expression patterns of these four genes are validated by RT-qPCR. Subcellular localization analysis suggest that the proteins coded by the four genes are localized in nucleus. This study provide a reliable reference for the functional research and utilization of wheat RAV transcription factors.
