Abstract:
The ethanol extracts from the stem of
Sabia discolor Dunn were isolated and purified by silica gel and Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography. The structures of the compounds were verified by modern spectroscopy(MS,
1H NMR,
13C NMR). Ten pentacyclic triterpenoids were isolated from the stem of
S. discolor, and identified as 20-hydroxy-lupan-3-one(
1), monogynol A(
2), (20
S)-3-oxo-20-hydroxytaraxastane(
3), 20-taraxastene-3
α, 28-diol(
4), 3
β, 20
β-dihydroxytaraxastane(
5), oleanolic acid(
6), 1-oxo-erythrodiol(
7), juglangenin A(
8), castanopsol(
9) and 1
α, 3
β-dihydroxyl-olean-12-en-28-oic acid(
10), respectively. Among them, compounds
2,
4,
7,
8 and
9 were obtained from the genus
Sabia for the first time, and compounds
1,
3,
5 and
10 were isolated from this plant for the first time.
