Abstract: A simple HPLC method for quantitative determination of hypericin in herb of Hypericum perforatum L.was established to determine hypericin content in extracts of H.perforatum L.from wild and cultivated varieties.Relative standard deviations of the method are 1.2% and 1.6%(n=4) respectively,the recoveries are 98.6% and 97.2% respectively.This method has a good reproducibility and sensitivity.
