Abstract:
Electrochemical bleaching of reed kraft pulp employing a graphite plate anode and a stainless steel screen cathode adding K3Fe(CN) 6 as catalyst was carried out.Influences of current density, alkali charge, bleaching time, concentration of catalyst and pulp consistency on pulp Kappa number and viscosity were discussed.Experimental results indicate that the optimum condition for electrochemical bleaching of reed kraft was:current density 6.67 mA/cm2, alkali 0.4%, K3Fe(CN)612.50 mmol/L, pulp consistency 1.3% at 80℃ for 30 min.
