Abstract

A new kind of surfactant based on cashew nut shell liquid (CNSL) as lipophile group, HDI (hexame thylenediisocyanate) and polyethylglycol (as hydrophile group) was synthesized, and its surface properties was tested. Surface properties of three samples of this surfactant are: CMC 0.35～0.5 g/L; HLB 15.5～16.0; cloud point 70～80 ℃,surface tension (25 ℃, at CMC) 28～35 mN/m.
