Abstract: A new butt and root rot disease on Acacia confusa in Hainan Province was recorded;Ganoderma tropicum and Amauroderma elmerianum were the pathogens.Both fungi caused a white rot of butt and root. Illustrated descriptions of the two pathogens were given in detail based on the material from China. The characteristics of the pathogens were provided,and the symptom and damage of the disease were supplied.
