Abstract:
In order to study the reasons for low conveying efficiency of sugarcane leaves on both sides of the conveying mechanism of sugarcane leaf returning machine, the finite element model of sugarcane leaves conveying by brush roller was established in LS-DYNA software. The Von Mises stress and motion state of sugarcane leaves were obtained. The variation of bending angle, displacement and mass distribution of sugarcane leaves were analyzed in detail. The simulation results showed that the sugarcane leaves on both sides are bent to be close to right angles during the conveying process and the uneven distribution of sugarcane leaves is characterized by less in the middle and more on both sides. The model and simulation were verified by the high-speed photography experiment. The research showed that the simulation is in good agreement with the experiment, the relative error of the maximum bending angle of sugarcane leaves is less than 3.60% and the curve correlation coefficient is 0.950. The deformation and mass distribution of sugarcane leaves are similar to the simulation results.
