Abstract: Alfalfa, as a kind of high quality forage grass, is widely planted in China. However, the self-sufficiency rate of alfalfa seed in China is seriously insufficient, and the development of alfalfa seed harvesting machinery is slow.This article through the literature, investigations and field mechanization of alfalfa harvest test, briefly describe the application research status of alfalfa seed harvesting machinery in China, puts forward the existing problems in alfalfa seed mechanized harvesting, analyzes and discusses the problems, and gives some suggestions for improvement, thus provides reference for research and development of alfalfa seed harvesting machinery in China.
