Research on Drag Reduction of Boat-type Tractor Using Air Layer

  • In order to predict the air volume needed for reducing resistance of paddy field air layer with different water content, the corresponding parameters of paddy field were measured by rheometer, and the corresponding simulation model was constructed for the corresponding simulation test. In the process of the test, the air layer coverage and the resistance change under different ventilation are analyzed, and the mechanism of drag reduction is explained. Finally, the relationship between the water content and the optimal ventilation is fitted by the formula. It is found that the drag reduction rate of paddy field with 80% water content can be as high as 21.9%, and the drag reduction effect of the air layer of paddy field with higher water content is not as good as that with higher water content; the drag reduction of the air layer mainly reduces the friction resistance, but the effect of the reduction of the viscous pressure resistance is not obvious, and the viscosity of paddy field has a greater impact on the viscous pressure resistance.
