Design and Experiment of Speed Coordination Control System for Electric Leafy Vegetable Harvester

  • A speed coordination control system of electric leafy vegetable harvester is developed for the problems of high damage rate, high power consumption and low harvesting efficiency caused by the uncoordinated speed of cutting, conveying and walking of electric leafy vegetable harvester. The system uses a programmable logic controller as the core, and uses an information sensing module to collect data on the current, voltage and speed of the cutter motor. The master control module processes the collected signals according to the speed coordination control algorithm to obtain load information and coordinate the cutting, conveying and walking speeds. The field test results show that the system is stable and reliable, and can dynamically coordinate the speed parameters of each component according to the harvesting situation, with a leafy vegetable damage rate of 8.88%. Compared with the traditional fixed-speed control method, the harvester power consumption was reduced by 13.1% and the harvesting efficiency was improved by 33.4%.
