Abstract
In order to solve the problem of low sieving efficiency after hazelnut deflashing, a double-decker trommel screen was designed for the material state after hazelnut deflashing. The EDEM simulation software was used to simulate the working condition of the screen, and the drum speed, inner and outer screen hole size and spiral blade spacing were used as test factors, and the screening rate and impurity rate were used as evaluation indicators to analyse and assess the influence of each factor on the performance of the double-decker drum screen to obtain the best working parameters of the double-decker drum screen. The results show that the best screening efficiency is achieved when the inner screen hole size is 25 mm, the outer screen hole size is 12 mm, the rotational speed is 36 r/min and the spiral blade spacing is 240 mm.
