Abstract: The forage planting industry in China is one of the key projects in the current agricultural structure adjustment. Although the forage industry is in its infancy and developing rapidly,the high-performance forage processing machinery is still blank in China,which restricts the development of the forage industry. Loose and loose bales are difficult to transport and store,and it is difficult to realize commercialization. The scattered hay can be compressed into high-density bales for transportation and storage,which can achieve the purpose of reducing production costs. In this paper,the structure,performance,use and operation modes of three kinds of balers according to different baler tightness were discussed,which provided a certain theoretical reserve for herbage baler technology in China.
