Abstract: Based on the analysis of the development and trend of agricultural engineering subject and agricultural machinery major at home and abroad,the opportunities and challenges faced by talent training of agricultural machinery in local agricultural universities under the background of Double First-Class Construction in China are discussed. It is proposed in this paper that taking the talent demand of the development of local characteristic agricultural industry as the guide,a diversified,multi-level and multi-type agricultural machinery talent training model that adapts to the development of regional characteristics in China should be established,strengthening the intersection and integration with relevant basic subjects,and optimizing the training program of agricultural machinery major in local universities.
