Abstract: Farming and reading education is an effective way to cultivate the mission of strengthening agriculture and promoting agriculture among students majoring in agriculture in vocational colleges, and to understand and love agriculture. Carrying out agricultural education in vocational colleges plays an important role in promoting students’ comprehensive development, cultivating their cultural confidence, and cultivating more agricultural talents for the country. In the selection of agricultural education sector, we should adhere to the practice of agricultural material production, social practice of “agriculture, rural areas, and farmers”, and agricultural scientific and cultural practice. When constructing the agricultural reading education system, it is necessary to further clarify the era connotation of agricultural reading education, explore regional resources to expand the practical space of agricultural reading education, and construct a scientific and reasonable evaluation system of agricultural reading education. By implementing systematic farming and reading education, we provide a solid talent guarantee for rural revitalization.
