Abstract: As an important mechanical equipment in modern agricultural production, the use of potato planters for sowing operations is conducive to the development of modern agricultural mechanization. In this paper, the working principle of various potato planters is expounded, and the models of potato planters are compared and analyzed. According to the current situation of agricultural machinery used in the terrain of southern Shaanxi, suitable potato planting machines were selected to improve the automation and intelligence of potato planting. At the same time, the publicity and development of mechanized planting in agricultural and rural work should be strengthened, so as to provide a reference for the future development of potato planting mechanization in Chenggu County.
