Abstract: With the rapid development of information technology, 3D modeling software has been widely used in the field of engineering, and has become one of the most important tools for cultivate the practical ability of engineering students. In view of the limitations of traditional mechanical drawing teaching, this paper analyzes the potential role of 3D modeling software in solving these problems, expounds in detail the teaching method of integrating 3D modeling software in mechanical drawing courses, optimizing the design of mechanical drawing courses and teaching content arrangement, evaluates the teaching effect through student feedback, and verifies the positive influence of 3D modeling software in mechanical drawing courses. In summary, this paper provides useful experience and enlightenment for the teaching and application of 3D modeling software in mechanical drawing courses, and enriches the teaching methods of engineering education.
