Tractor lightweight design can reduce the overall load of the tractor, improve the stiffness and strength of the mechanical structure, and improve its working performance and service life. At the same time, reducing the vehicle deadweight is also conducive to improving the maneuverability and stability of the tractor, increasing the comfort and safety of the operator. This paper analyzes the problems existing in the current tractor chassis structure, mainly including excessive weight, not conducive to energy saving and emission reduction, affecting the handling, etc., and systematically elaborates on the use of optimized structural design, selection of lightweight materials, reducing the number of parts and components, etc., and analyzes the improvement and advantages of the tractor chassis in the aspects of performance, safety and economy after the adoption of the lightweight design technology with the combination of examples. It also looks forward to the development prospect of lightweight design in the field of tractor manufacturing.
