Abstract: With rapid development of China's economy and society, innovation has become core driving force for national progress．Cultivating talents with innovative spirit and ability is an important task for higher education．Based on mechanical engineering innovative practice teaching platform, practicing teaching, training teaching, and innovative education teaching models were explored．A step-by-step and hierarchical innovative talent training model was constructed, progressing from perception to cognition, foundation to characteristics, and research to innovation, to provide useful reference for innovative talent cultivation with mechanical engineering in China．
