Abstract:
With rapid development of technologies such as high-density stacking of laying hens, large-scale multi-layer net farming of meat ducks, and smart pig houses construction in recent years, there has been a significant increase in demand for interdisciplinary such as mechatronics and internet of things.Under background of new agriculture education, emerging engineering education, and national certification system for engineering education, requirements for undergraduate cultivation should be strengthened in professional reform and industry-academia-research integration to meet talent development needs in the new period.Taking a course of in Animal Husbandry Engineering Technology at Wuhan Polytechnic University as an example, based on subject foundation, problems faced by engineering applications and technological practice characteristics were analyzed.A cooperative education mode based on industry-teaching integration with College of Modern Feed Industry was built.Teaching methods and engineering cases were newly designed, teaching approaches were reformed.A student-centered education system was established, with subject competitions as starting point, knowledge and problem maps as guidance, and curriculum ideology and politics as driving force. Problems of students' weak hands-on practical ability, insufficient innovative thinking ability, obvious agricultural thinking but lack of modern industrial thinking, and unclear talent cultivation goals, were solved.Effective ways were explored to cultivate undergraduate students' innovative thinking in integration of agriculture and industry and improve their innovative practical ability.
