Abstract:
To address problems of high energy consumption and heavy pollution associated with traditional asphalt heating methods, a multi-energy synergy asphalt heating and thermal storage system was developed, consisting of parabolic trough solar collectors, molten salt thermal storage tanks, and a biomass boiler.Test results have indicated that asphalt heating and thermal storage system can continuously and stably meet temperature requirement for asphalt production(>150 °C), with an average energy supply efficiency of 76.85%, and an hourly heat loss rate of molten salt thermal storage tank of <0.6%.By increasing agitator speed and heat transfer oil flow rate, average asphalt temperature rise rate was improved by 75%, thereby reducing asphalt production time.Feasibility of solar-biomass hybrid asphalt heating and thermal storage system in field of asphalt heating has been experimentally validated.Featuring advantages such as energy conservation, environmental friendliness, and stable heat supply, valuable insights for green transportation infrastructure construction have been provided.
