Development practices and considerations on plant protection aerial spraying operations in Nanning City of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region

Plant protection aerial spraying operation is current development trend in pest and disease prevention and control．Three stages of plant protection aerial spraying operation in Nanning City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region were introduced from experimental exploration to expanded promotion, and then to rapid development．Four effective measures for promoting aerial spraying operation development were summarized as multi-party cooperation, resource integration, adaptation to local conditions, and enhanced publicity．However, four issues currently exist such as plant protection aerial spraying operation technical standards requiring refinement, training system needing comprehensively enhancement, specialized pesticide formulation research requiring deepening, and spray drift needing resolution in Nanning City．Suggestions for future development were proposed to provide references for aerial plant protection development in other regions of China, particularly southern areas．
