Application of Biotechnology in Prevention and Control of Forestry Pests and Diseases

Since the Third Industrial Revolution，breakthroughs and achievements in the field of chemical industry have affected the way people live and work all over the world.Especially，the continuous research and development of chemical pesticides have made a qualitative leap not only in the quantity and quality of products，but also greatly reduced the intensity of farm households and forest households.Based on main characteristics of forestry diseases and insect pests in China，main problems and causes in the process of forestry diseases and insect pests control were analyzed and then progress and breakthrough of biological control technology were briefly discussed.
