Abstract: The main agricultural production industries in Xinfu District are maize, sorghum and minor cereals, which is a typical one-year cropping region. In recent years, due to the low price of grain and the rising price of means of production, the enthusiasm of farmers to grow grain has been frustrated. In order to improve the income per unit area of land, some planting patterns of two crops a year have been gradually accepted and recognized by farmers. The planting mode of "sweet and waxy maize + baby cabbage" two crops a year has been successful in Xinfu District and has a good development prospect.
