Abstract: In order to understand the suitable conditions of gooseberry in some regions of South China, five gooseberry varieties of Zhuiyu, Jinyu, Ribes rubrum, Fengrui and Hanfeng were introduced to screen out the varieties with good overall performance and planting prospects. The results showed that the variety had strong growth, strong cold resistance, disease resistance and rain resistance, single fruit weight of 2.81 g, single bush yield of 1.23 kg, sour and sweet taste, which was suitable for moderate development in the middle and high altitude area of northwest Guizhou.
