Abstract: In order to speed up the popularization and application of new products of straw matrix blocks in rice seedling raising, experiments were conducted on the application of straw matrix blocks in rice seedling raising of high quality japonica rice Nanjing5718. The results showed that the number of panicles per mu, the number of grains per panicle, the number of grains per panicle, and the weight of 1 000 grains could be increased by using straw matrix blocks to raise rice seedlings in Nanjing 5718, thus increasing the yield and production efficiency, which is worth popularizing in a large area.
