Abstract: This paper expounded the types, purposes, procedures and basic requirements of nature reserve patrol. Based on the patrol data of Xiaruo Management Office of Baima Snow Mountain National Nature Reserve, the effectiveness and problems of patrol are analyzed and corresponding suggestions are put forward. The results showed that patrolling can effectively prevent the destruction of ecological resources in the protected areas, timely detect and stop various illegal activities that destroy resources, and master the background resources of the area play a vital role in the protection of resources in the area and the monitoring of biodiversity.
