Abstract:
Camellia oleifera has many fibrous roots, is more resistant to drought and cold, and has fewer diseases and insect pests. It is a good variety for greening barren mountains and wastelands and improving the ecological environment. Camellia oleifera is one of the key industries in Yongshun County. The comparison test of two land types of Camellia oleifera seedlings in Xianglin No.210(National S-SC-CO-015-2006) in five years shows that Camellia oleifera planted on the cultivated land developed from limestone grows vigorously and is easy to produce high yield. The average ground diameter in the first, second and third years is 8%, 19.6%and 42.7%, the average crown width in the first, second and third years is 1.5%, 25.5% and 40.3% respectively, and the fruit yield in the fourth and fifth years is 39.1% and 63.6% higher respectively.
