Abstract: Spodoptera meadowi is widely distributed in the American continent and is listed as the main agricultural pest by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization. Due to the fast migration speed, wide adaptation area, feeding on any plant group,strong reproductive ability, resistance to chemical pesticides and other factors, the meadow night moth has rapidly spread in China since it was introduced into Yunnan in early 2019. Therefore, it is very urgent and important to explore the harm of meadow moth to crops and its control measures.
