Abstract:
Plant food is an important source of nutrients and microelements absorbed by animals and human body. In the food chain, plants absorb selenium from the environment, convert it into organic selenium through their own photosynthesis, and finally absorb and utilize it by the way of food chain transmission, which is a relatively safe and effective way of human selenium intake. In this paper, the research progress of selenium transformation and utilization in plants is reviewed, which can provide meaningful reference information for cultivating selenium plants, improving selenium deficiency in animals and human body, and solving human health problems in selenium deficient areas.
