Abstract: Focusing on excellent germplasm innovation and excellent new variety breeding, a new variety named single-cross stock Xingzhu 88 was actively selected for silage maize. After 2 a regional test and 1 a production test, Xingzhu 88 varieties were superior to the control in terms of fresh matter yield, dry matter yield and average grain yield. The breeding process, variety characteristics,cultivation technology and suitable planting area of this variety were introduced in detail, in order to provide theoretical basis for the popularization and planting of Xingzhu 88.
