Abstract: Quanyu 1233 is a new maize variety developed by Anhui Quanyin High-tech Seed Industry Co., Ltd. through a hybrid combination of 533 as the female parent and 512 as the male parent. This variety has shown good drought and waterlogging resistance, high seed yield, and high yield in multiple experiments in Anhui and Henan for many years. In regional and production experiments in Anhui Province, the average yield increased by 11.19% compared to the control. In 2016, it was approved by Anhui Province and gradually introduced to other provinces in Huanghuai. This paper introduced the breeding process, characteristics, yield performance, and key seed production techniques of the new maize variety Quanyu 1233.
