Abstract:
Collecting, sorting, identifying potato germplasm resources, preserving and classifying them, effectively establishing potato database management system, constructing application management platform, and realizing full sharing and sustainable utilization of potato germplasm resources are of great significance for promoting and developing potato breeding. Germplasm resources are the material basis of new varieties breeding. This paper studied 195 potato germplasm resources collected and preserved by the potato research group of the Institute of Crops in High Cold Area of Shanxi Agricultural University. Fully understanding the quality characteristics of germplasm resources and exploring the utilization value of germplasm resources are conducive to improving breeding efficiency, and have important significance for breeding high quality varieties with different functional uses.
